BETA NOTICE
The Sierra C24R Native for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is now available as a public beta.
The official upgrade price from the MSFS 2020 version to the native MSFS 2024 version is $10.00 across all stores.
During the beta period, the upgrade will only be available directly through the Flysimware Store. This allows us to quickly release fixes and updates as feedback comes in.
Once we are satisfied that the 2024 version has successfully completed beta testing, we will submit the upgrade to SimMarket and the Microsoft Marketplace.
If you would like to help us test the new native 2024 version, you may purchase the upgrade now. If you prefer to wait for the fully released version, you are welcome to purchase it once the beta period is complete.
The User Manual is still from the MSFS 2020 version. If you need help with the new 2024 version, please ask in our Discord community below. We will be monitoring posts for the new beta and looking forward to reports and questions.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The C24R Sierra is a single-engine light airplane with retractable landing gear developed and manufactured by American aircraft producer Beechcraft. The low-wing model can seat up to six, including pilot. It was developed to be trainer and a reliable personal cruiser with improved performance over previous models in its lineage. The C24R Sierra is one of several members of Beechcraft’s Musketeer family. The lineage was born in 1963 with the introduction of the Model 23 Musketeer. The Model 23 was Beech’s initiative to produce an entry-level airplane for personal use as well as for a wide spectrum of training purposes. Several members of the Musketeer line debuted in the following years, including the Super Musketeer and the Sundowner. The C model of the 24R Sierra was certified for operation in 1976. The Musketeer C24R Sierra is a comfortable cross-country aircraft due to its wide cabin, pilot side door, and extended large rear / cargo door. It features retractable tricycle landing gear (which folds away from the fuselage), a powerful 200-horsepower engine, and constant speed propeller. It is an excellent platform for Complex Endorsement training. One of the attributes pilots of the aircraft frequently note is its great cockpit visibility. This is due to the location of the wing aft of the aircraft’s front seats and a nose-down level flight, granting exceptional field of view. The Beechcraft Musketeer C24R Sierra measures 25 feet, 9 inches in length, stands 8 feet, 3 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 32 feet, 10 inches. It is powered by a Lycoming IO-360-A1B6 4-cylinder engine that generates up to 200 horsepower. The engine drives a 3-blade, constant-speed propeller that was given a supplemental type certificate for the aircraft. C24R Sierra has a range of 745 miles, a service ceiling of 15,385 feet above sea level, and it climbs at 927 feet per minute. It cruises at 166 miles per hour and has a do-not-exceed speed of 193 mph. Flight planning allows a higher speed cruise of 135-140 KTAS with 75% power, an economy setting of 125 KTAS with 65% power, or an endurance setting of 115 KTAS with 55% power.
SIMULATION INFORMATION
Welcome to Flysimware’s Sierra C24R Native for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Flysimware and 3DReach have modeled this vintage aircraft with an emphasis on realism and attention to detail. With help from a friend who owns the aircraft, we were able to obtain laser scans for modeling an accurate replica, detailed reference images for textures and small components, and documentation used for the aircraft systems and flight dynamics.
The Sierra C24R has been rebuilt for the native Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 environment and now takes advantage of several new MSFS 2024 features.
The native 2024 version includes nine separate avionics and panel variants, allowing you to choose the panel and GPS configuration you want directly from the aircraft selection menu. The STEAM variants also allow you to hot swap between analog and CGR digital engine gauges from the Flysimware EFB.
The aircraft also includes Flysimware’s new TruSim gyro system for the HSI and ADI, providing custom gyro behavior designed to more accurately reproduce the operation and response of the real instruments.
The native 2024 version also includes pre-flight and walk-around functionality, allowing exterior items such as wheel chocks, covers, plugs, and other pre-flight equipment to be inspected and interacted with before flight.
Also included is Flysimware’s TruSim dynamic dirt system, adding progressively changing exterior dirt and environmental effects to help give the aircraft a more natural used appearance instead of remaining permanently factory-clean.
The Sierra C24R remains an excellent aircraft for short trips, cross-country flying, instrument practice, and complex-aircraft training, with a wide variety of modern and traditional avionics configurations available.
